🌱 Our Journey

Hey there! đź‘‹

We’re a working couple in our late 20s, based out of Hyderabad, navigating life, careers, and now parenthood—while building our way toward financial independence. By day, we both work in the world of software development, with under a decade of combined experience. By night (and weekend!), we’re passionate DIYers—optimizing budgets, learning about investing, and trying to build a life of purpose, balance, and freedom.
Our journey truly began in 2020, right in the middle of a global pandemic. Amid lockdowns and uncertainty, we got married and unknowingly took our first steps toward designing a more intentional life. Our backgrounds are quite different—one of us comes from a public sector family, the other from the hustle of the private sector. Together, we bring a unique perspective to money, risk, stability, and long-term planning.

We’re now expecting our first child—an exciting, humbling chapter that made us reflect deeply. This blog is our way of documenting the lessons we’ve learned, the mistakes we’ve made, and the small wins we’ve celebrated. More importantly, it’s a journal for our child—so that one day, they’ll have a roadmap of how we tackled life, finances, and everything in between.

While we aim to achieve financial independence, we’re not chasing early retirement before 40. Instead, we want the freedom of choice—to slow down when needed, say no without fear, and prioritize family and well-being over rat races.
Rupee to Freedom is our sandbox of ideas, experiments, and real-life progress. It’s 100% DIY, sometimes messy, always honest—and we hope you find a bit of value, inspiration, or relatability in these words.

Thanks for being here,

🌟 Our Vision

We envision a life where financial freedom enables us to make choices guided by values, not obligations.
A life where time is spent with loved ones, not just in pursuit of paychecks.Through this journey, we aim to build a strong foundation for our growing family and inspire others to pursue financial independence with purpose and balance.

🎯 Our Mission

Our mission is to document our real, imperfect journey toward financial independence. We share honest experiences, lessons learned, and tools we use—without sugar-coating. This blog is both a personal journal and a guide, especially for our future child, to help them navigate life’s challenges with confidence, clarity, and financial wisdom.
